NEWS AND NOTES

TODAY, 6:00 p.m.  Fifth Sunday community sing at Turpin Baptist Church.  Come enjoy music, fellowship, and refreshments with Turpin area churches!

 

MONDAY, 7:00 P.M.  There will be a Prayer March around the community of Turpin and the school organized by Angela Kinser.  We will meet in front of the high school, divide into groups and be assigned a certain area to pray over.  If you can’t walk, we welcome you to drive around Turpin and pray.  Come join us  as we pray over our community and schools.

 

ANNUAL Church Retreat and Outdoor Church at Gibson Baptist Camp on August 11-12.  Come enjoy food, camping overnight, worship, swimming, sliding, and Sunday lunch buffet prepared by the camp chef. Please sign up on sheet in mailroom bulletin board by August 5 for days and meals you will be there.   Sunday worship will include music by a group of talented musicians and a message by Austin Regier.  Austin graduated from Bethel College this year with dual degrees in Social Work and Religion.  He is currently pursuing his Masters in Social Work at the University of Kansas.  Austin grew up on a hog farm east of Newton, KS.  He spent a year in Paraguay doing Voluntary Service with MCUSA.  Austin has served on the MCC Central States Board of Directors and has recently finished a one year internship with MCC.

SUNDAY SCHOOL OFFERINGS for the June-August quarter will go to help our missionaires in Spain, Francisco and Juanita Machado, with a special project.  They will be helping a low income Romanian family begin a business.
